Hello Sixers!

You may have heard rumors that the solar flux is down and there is no propagation on 
6m.  It is true that 6m ionospheric propagation - especially at the end of January - 
is very unlikely.  HOWEVER, there is no better time for EME on 6m, and 3Y0Z will be 
QRV during the best days of the month for 6m EME!

Don't think you can make the half million mile contact?  During my recent DXpediton 
to VK9C and VK9X, I completed 6m EME contacts with a number of single yagi stations - 
including several stations making their first 6m EME contact.  If you are interested 
in working DX on 6m, I urge you to tune up your 6m station, start practicing your 
proficiency with JT65A mode for EME, and get ready to call 3Y0Z on 6m EME.  If you 
have been thinking about upgrading your amplifier, your 6m antenna, or need a 
computer interface for digital modes, then get that hint to Santa Claus now while 
there is still time!

I completed over a hundred 6m EME contacts from VK9XGJ, and there is more moon time 
available with NA and EU during the 3Y0Z operation, and they are planning to have a 
couple dB more power than I had! They have made a commitment to 6m EME and should be 
able to do even better than I did from VK9.
