This is the mobile sized radio that is full of base station features. It uses IF-DSP for noise reduction and narrow filtering (both very effective), it has a 3khz roofing filter for improved receiver performance, it has a voice recorder/keyer, CW memory keyer that will do serial numbers, TCXO, notch filter, speech processor, 3 band parametic equalizer for SSB and many other features. You can read more about it at - http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/0891.html - The receiver on this rig is very quiet and it is probably the best performing mobile sized radio ever made! I like it so much I want to get a Yaesu FT991!. - Everything works great on the radio, there are a few scratches on the sides from the mobile bracket. - It comes with the hand mic, short power cord with powerpole connectors, original box, manual, and separation kit ($70 value). - I am asking $560 shipped and can take paypal/check/MO 73 John AF5CC From w7gj at q.com Fri Jun 9 21:49:35 2017 From: w7gj at q.com (Lance Collister, W7GJ) Date: Sat, 10 Jun 2017 01:49:35 +0000 Subject: [50mhz] NEW VE7BQH G/T Tables for Antenna Comparisons In-Reply-To: <44.C1.02992.CE41B395@mx03.quartz.synacor.com> References: <44.C1.02992.CE41B395@mx03.quartz.synacor.com> Message-ID: I have uploaded the new VE7BQH Interactive Antenna Comparison Table to my website. You can read more about it here: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/0950.html It is a great performer on 6m with a very quiet receiver, great noise reduction, and the APF filter really helps on weak signal CW. The voice keyer is great for calling CQ on 6m with. It works fine, and is in good condition overall with a few scratches on the top and sides, but nothing really bad. It also has the DVS-6 voice recorder installed. It comes with the original box, hand mic, and power cord with power poles on it. This is a mobile sized radio that has very few menus and all needed functions have dedicated buttons on the face of the radio. It does 100 watts on 6 meters and is a great 6 meter all mode radio, or a dedicated 6m radio to leave on 50.125 all of the time. It has a separate HF and 6m SO239 jacks, and a button to go between 100 watts and 10 watts so the HF side would make a nice IF for a transverter as well. It has dual VFOs, a speech processor, a tone encoder for FM, IF shift, and narrow filters for CW and SSB which are standard with this radio. It can do QSK on CW if you like The faceplate can be separated from the body with the Alinco separation kit (not included). This radio is in excellent condition, looks almost new, and works fine. It comes with a microphone, power cord, manual, and original box. This is a very easy to operate radio for mobile or base setup since it uses very few menus. As you know, the upcoming 3Y0Z operation is very remote, and there isn't likely to be any VHF terrestrial propagation to them. However, we are very fortunate because they have agreed to make a serious effort on both 6m and 2m EME ;-) With the capability of many more stations to operate the weak signal mode of JT65A from either WSJT10 or WSJT-X, many stations will now have the chance to contact this extremely rare DXCC! If you have not tried yet to make 6m EME contacts with JT65A, I encourage you to get on the ON4KST EME CHAT page and find someone to run a sked with: http://www.on4kst.org/chat/login.php?band=5 Here is a step-by-step checklist on how to set up JT65A for success on EME: http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/JT65.pdf Please refer to my web page if you need any other information or tips regarding successful 6m EME operation. You definitely want to be ready for the 3Y0Z operation, and NOW is the time to get the station ready and get the practice in so YOU will be ready, too! The 3Y0Z team is busy preparing for the DXpedition (I worked K9CT on 6m EME last night), and they are also busy raising money to pay for all this special effort for us! Please give serious consideration to their request below for support. Thanks very much and GL on 6m EME!
