Similar projects have already been sold with several remaining. Currently, I’m offering a prototype, retrofitted, 95% completed 6m amplifier built on a Heath SB230 chassis w/OEM transformer. The amp is retrofitted with a new and completely installed GI7B tube and circuitry and dedicated to 6m operation. This project will definitely have appeal for a radio amateur seeking some additional 6m DX/contesting power in the pileups and available with minimal cash outlays. The package is a fully assembled 600w dedicated amplifier available to those who enjoy building and favor a project with a minor amount of work required to get it on line. Package includes a brand new GI7B Russian tube, high quality custom socket and chimney mounted on a pressurized enclosure, new capacitor board, HV plate choke, new filament transformer, complete tank circuit, front panel tuned input. blower, and an antenna and time delay relay in place and functional. Makes 2400VDC plate voltage. To be clear, it’s a complete package fully wired with all circuits functional except for completing the bias wiring, final tweaking, and integrating the Heath meter into the plate current circuit. The Zener diode, antenna/plate tune capacitors, pilot light, and operate/standby switch, are all in place. No further hardware or components are required. The Heath enclosure is free of bangs, dents, or dings . $375+ shipping However, would prefer pickup in the Scranton, PA area.
