This is the model that has the real time band scope, DSP for noise reduction and auto notch, an audio peak filter for CW (very effective), CW memory keyer, and dual receive-both receivers have to be on the band and mode. The bandscope is great for watching for 6 meter openings, and the dual receive is nice as you can listen to 50.125 or 50.110 and tune around the band looking for other stations at the same time. You can read all about the 756 at: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/756.html The case shows a lot of wear on it with numerous scratches on the top cover, the sides look pretty good, and there are quite a few light scratches on the bottom. The feet on the side are missing, and the bottom feet have been replaced so it no longer has the tilt up feet. The rig works great, and there are no lines in the display. Ham Radio Outlet recently checked it all out for performance. It comes with a power cord and hand mic. I am asking $500 shipped for it. I can take paypal (no fee)/check/MO. 73 John AF5CC From w7gj at q.com Tue Sep 13 14:11:04 2016 From: w7gj at q.com (Lance Collister, W7GJ) Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2016 18:11:04 +0000 Subject: [50mhz] TE SYSTEMS 0552G or 0550G 6m amplifier Message-ID: Does anybody have any suggestions where I could purchase (or borrow) one of the above amplifiers for loan to a 6m DXpedition? This is the 100 watt HF and 6 meter rig with IF DSP noise reduction and DSP based narrow filters, a voice recorder to call CQ for you over and over again, a CW memory keyer, a TCXO for frequency stability, a voice synthesizer to announce the frequency and mode at the push of a button, and quite a few more features. You can read all about it at: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/0450.html This rig comes with the MH-67 hand mic, and a power cord which has been hard wired to the circuit board inside. The headphones jack really isn't working, but the internal speaker works fine, and you can use the speaker jack in the back of the radio for headphones if you like. Due to the headphones jack and the scratches on the case, I am asking $405 for this wonderful rig plus shipping. This model does 100 watts on HF and 6m and 20 watts on 2m and also has a built in keyer, built in tone encoder, CW/SSB/AM/FM, built in power/SWR meter, and built in speech processor. This is a nice mobile sized radio with the 2 most popular VHF bands on it that would make a great roving radio, or HF/VHF radio for the shack. It works fine but has some scratches on the top and bottom covers. The faceplate latch is broken so the head has been taped to the body (easy to remove), and it is missing the RIT know so a different type of knob was fitted by the previous owner. It comes with a mic, power cord, and manual. I am asking $380 shipped for it in the US. I can take paypal/check/MO. 73 John AF5CC From w7gj at q.com Wed Sep 14 16:33:47 2016 From: w7gj at q.com (Lance Collister, W7GJ) Date: Wed, 14 Sep 2016 20:33:47 +0000 Subject: [50mhz] T8GJ and V6M summary Message-ID: TNX again for all the support and contacts from the recent T8 and V6 6m EME DXpedition! The DXpedition resulted in a total of 90 new 6m EME contacts. JT65A mode for EME from WSJT10 was used for all the 6m EME contacts. I regret that I was unable to elevate high enough for horizon-only stations in western NA and eastern EU on many of the days. I did have a great window with the NA East Coast moonset on all days of operation, and am surprised not to copy more 6m horizon-only stations from that part of the world. The 43 new 6m EME contacts from V6M successfully increased the 37 stations worked from that location last year, and I now believe that most of the serious 6m operators who wanted to contact V6 now have it in their log. However, if enough demand is warranted, I certainly have the logistics for both the T8GJ and V6M locations well worked out, so future trips are possible, although I do try to go to new DXCC that have not been worked before by most stations in EU and NA. I have put a few photos and the logs from T8GJ and V6M up on my web page: http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/Palau%20and%20Yap%202016.htm I still plan to prepare a report with more detail and photos, but have not had a chance to get to that yet, due to other obligations. In the meantime, I hope the above web page updates will answer some of the questions I have been receiving. MNI TNX and best wishes for continued DX on the Magic Band!
