From af5cc2 at gmail.com Thu Oct 6 12:52:55 2016 From: af5cc2 at gmail.com (John Geiger) Date: Thu, 6 Oct 2016 11:52:55 -0500 Subject: [50mhz] HF/VHF transceivers for sale Message-ID: I have three different HF/VHF radios for sale. Will ship if you pay shipping. Here is what I have: 1. a Yaesu FT450, which works good, but is not in the greatest shape physically. It does some scratches and smudges on both the top and bottom covers, but it works fine, and that is what really counts. This is the 100 watt HF and 6 meter rig with IF DSP noise reduction and DSP based narrow filters, a voice recorder to call CQ for you over and over again, a CW memory keyer, a TCXO for frequency stability, a voice synthesizer to announce the frequency and mode at the push of a button, and quite a few more features. You can read all about it at: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/0450.html This rig comes with the MH-31 hand mic (which was an option for the FT450) which allows you to program the UP/DOWN/FAST buttons to control different functions of the radio, a power cord, and a mini DIN cable which plugs into the data jack on the back, and gives you a fixed level AF output from the receiver. This is useful for digital modes and such. I am asking $425 for it ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Icom 706 original. This is the 100 watt HF/6m and 10 watt 2m all mode radio. This is in very good condition, looks almost new. This has a built in keyer, SWR meter, speech processor, a slot for an optional CW or SSB filter, and many other features. You can read more about it at: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/706.html This one works very well, and looks great. It comes with a power cord, hand mic, and manual in a 3 ring binder. I am asking $410 for it ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Icom 706MKII. This is the 100 watt HF/6m and 20 watt 2 meter all mode radio. This is the successor to the 706 original. It has many of the same features, but also has a second filter slot you so can have both a narrow CW and narrow SSB filter installed. It can also take a DSP unit and Tone Decode modules (not included). You can read more about it at: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/706mkii.html This one is in excellent condition, it looks brand new. It works great on HF and 6m, but is acting funny on 2m FM. It varies in power somewhat on 2m FM, and the receive level is low on FM also. Power output seems ok on 2m SSB/CW/AM. Not sure what the problem is, might be an easy fix. This 706MKII comes with the power cord, hand mic, and manual. I am asking $400 for it. Let me know if you are interested in any of these and we can work out the details of the sale. 73 John AF5CC From af5cc2 at gmail.com Mon Oct 10 21:58:01 2016 From: af5cc2 at gmail.com (John Geiger) Date: Mon, 10 Oct 2016 20:58:01 -0500 Subject: [50mhz] FT891 opinions Message-ID: Has anyone tried out the FT891 yet? Looks like it could be a great mobile and base rig. Maybe a replacement for my Yaesu FT450 73 John AF5CC From w2cqm at juno.com Sun Oct 30 19:44:03 2016 From: w2cqm at juno.com (w2cqm at juno.com) Date: Sun, 30 Oct 2016 23:44:03 GMT Subject: [50mhz] 2500w Ameritron 8877 Dedicated 6m Amp Message-ID: <20161030.194403.12725.1@webmail13.vgs.untd.com> Offering to the serious contestor or DX'er an absolute mint Ameritron AL1200 retrofitted with an Eimac 8877 and dedicated to 6m operation.
