From af5cc at fidmail.com Mon Jan 19 22:35:01 2015 From: af5cc at fidmail.com (John Geiger) Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2015 21:35:01 -0600 Subject: [50mhz] FS: Icom 706MKIIG HF/6m/2m/70cm transceiver Message-ID: I have for sale a very nice condition Icom 706MKIIG HF/6m/2m/70cm transceiver, with mic, extra long power cord, manual, and box. This is the model that does 100 watts on HF and 6m, 50 watts on 2m, and 20 watts on 70cm. Has built in DSP, built in keyer, and built in SWR meter (only functions on HF and 6m, though). Rig works fine, looks really good also. I am asking $560 shipped for it in the US and can take paypal/check/MO. Buy it now and have it in time for the January VHF contest this weekend. You can check my ebay feedback at (af.5cc) and also my feedback on QTH.COM. 73 John AF5CC From 50mhz at mailman.qth.net Wed Jan 21 16:43:41 2015 From: 50mhz at mailman.qth.net (Jonesy W3DHJ via 50mhz) Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2015 14:43:41 -0700 (MST) Subject: [50mhz] ARRL JAN VHF Message-ID: For the First Time Ever I am making plans to go out rovering in the ARRL JAN VHF contest. The WX looks good for Fri-Sat-Sun -- temps in the upper 50's and storm free. At best I only promise to operate 11:00 local (1800Z) to near sunset on Saturday, and early morning to near sunset on Sunday. I'll be doing DM88, DM87, DM77, DM78 on Saturday -- spending a little over an hour in each grid. I'll do DM78, DM77, DM87, DM88 on Sunday (the reverse of Saturday's rove) -- spending a little over 2 hours in each grid. It'll be just 6M and 2M -- SSB and (dreadfully bad) CW. A little more information at: http://W3DHJ.net/vhfrover_plans.html It might be A First to have DM87 active in the January contest. In any case, it's rare that it's activated in the ARRL JAN VHF. OBTW, for any of you that have bookmarked my web pages in the past, I have obtained my own domain name: W3DHJ.net.
