My 6m yagi has a flat SWR on 50.125, and I verified it with my Icom 706 using the same feedline, etc. I have not seen this problem in a FT100D before. It appears to be ok on other bands. It is not going into self oscillation on 6m, as when I key the rig on SSB it is showing no power output (as it should) until I speak into it. I could use any feedback or suggestions. 73 John AF5CC From af5cc at fidmail.com Thu Feb 12 18:12:35 2015 From: af5cc at fidmail.com (John Geiger) Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2015 17:12:35 -0600 Subject: [50mhz] FT100D 6 meter problem fixed! Message-ID: Did some additional checking today on the FT100D I wrote about yesterday, and it appears to be working ok on 6m now. I took everything else out of line, coax jumpers, the MFJ 941D tuner (it was on the bypass coax feedthru), the low pass filter (rated for HF and 6m) and ran the 6m coax directly to the HF/6m pigtail on the rig. The SWR is now flat, like it should be! Not sure why the Icom 706 original under the previous conditions (tuner, filter, coax jumpers) would show such a different SWR than would the FT100D, but that is what happened. I do remember hooking up an Icom 706MKIIG a little while ago and it wasn't putting out full power either when the 706 original was. It is strange how different rigs can behave so differently under the same working conditions. Thanks for all of the feedback and help. 73 John AF5CC From greenacres113 at charter.net Thu Feb 19 09:23:30 2015 From: greenacres113 at charter.net (greenacres113 at charter.net) Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2015 08:23:30 -0600 Subject: [50mhz] Nice surprise last night Message-ID: Here in EM56 I see the Gulf Coast spots into the Carrib. & SA but usually NADA here.
