From af5cc2 at gmail.com Wed Dec 2 10:44:22 2015 From: af5cc2 at gmail.com (John Geiger) Date: Wed, 2 Dec 2015 09:44:22 -0600 Subject: [50mhz] FS: Icom 706MKII 6m/2m (plus HF) transceiver Message-ID: I have for sale an Icom 706MKII which looks almost new and works great. This compact radio covers all nine HF ham bands plus 6 Meters and 2 Meters! It does 100 Watts HF+6M and 20 watts on 2m, has a removable head (with optional cable), Mini spectrum scope, built in Electronic Keyer, built in SWR meter, speech compression, 100 Memories, accepts an optional SSB or CW narrow filter, and does FM out of the box including CTCSS encode. Nice size for VHF roving, giving you the 2 main VHF contest bands, or to use in the shack as a dedicated radio for 6 meters-leave it on all of the time to catch those elusive Es openings. Would also make a great 2 meter dedicated radio. It comes with a hand mic, DC power cord, manual and original box. Paypal accepted (as well as MO and checks) and Prompt shipping. I used this in the CQWW contest last weekend with great results, and am only selling it because I got a great deal on a Yaesu FT897D, but I will miss the 706. I am asking $450 plus shipping. It can be picked up in Lawton as well. 73 John AF5CC From af5cc2 at gmail.com Wed Dec 2 21:15:50 2015 From: af5cc2 at gmail.com (John Geiger) Date: Wed, 2 Dec 2015 20:15:50 -0600 Subject: [50mhz] FS: Yaesu FT897D 6m/2m/70cm all mode (with HF thrown in) Message-ID: I have for sale a Yaesu FT897D HF/6m/2m/70cm in excellent condition. It is a 2011 model and works fine. It comes with the mic, power cord, manual, and box. This radio does 100 watts on HF and 6m, 50 watts on 2m, and 20 watts on 70cm. Would make a great rover or VHF contesting rig as it gives you the 3 most popular VHF/UHF contesting bands. It also comes with 4 of the Yaesu FNB-78 batteries for the Yaesu FT897, as well as the CD-24 and PA-26. If purchased new, each battery costs $140, the CD-24 costs $130 and the PA-26 goes for $80 so this setup would cost $770 for just the batteries and charger. The Yaesu charging setup allows you to charge the batteries using 110 volts AC or 12 volts DC so you can charge the batteries under all circumstances, and with 4 batteries you can always some spares ready to go. You can charge the batteries when they are outside of the radio also. The radio puts out 20 watts on all bands when on battery power. This is a great rig with a built in keyer, TCXO, SWR meter, DSP, and many other features. Does 100 watts on HF and 6, 50 watts on 2m, and 20 watts on 70cm. I am asking $900 shipped for the entire package, or make an offer. I would sell the batteries and charger separate if you are interested in just those. I can take paypal/check/MO. 73 John AF5CC From dougf at sasktel.net Wed Dec 2 21:32:45 2015 From: dougf at sasktel.net (Doug VE5UF) Date: Wed, 2 Dec 2015 20:32:45 -0600 Subject: [50mhz] 706 and 897 for sale In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <565FA9CD.2050201@sasktel.net> On 12/2/2015 09:44 AM, John Geiger wrote: > I used this in the CQWW contest last weekend with great results, and am > only selling it because I got a great deal on a Yaesu FT897D, but I will > miss the 706.
