Wow what a loss. When Lance was on Desecheo Dave and I conversed quite a bit as we were both chasing him. Neither had success but it was my opportunity to get to know Dave. He was good at thinking outside and box and using what he had on hand to get things going. He is one Elmer I will remember for a long time.

It is with great sadness that I learned this morning of the passing of another avid 
VHF operator, Dave Vore, K8WW. Dave was very active on a number of VHF and UHF 
bands, and built a 9 element YU7EF yagi with elevation to work 6m EME. I know how 
pleasantly pleased he was to work me during my 6m EME DXpedition last year to KH8, 
and his dedication and perseverance to constantly improve his station were an 
inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing and contacting him. Thanks to 
Dave for furthering the hobby and bringing happiness to others. His enthusiasm will 
be greatly missed. RIP

K8WW is SK.

Most of us have worked Dave many times.
