Johan,

I visited the island when the aerospace company that I worked for 
installed a large *60' dish satellite tracking station for the 
USAF,  We later had the Operation and Maintenance contract for that 
site, as well doing all of the engineering modernizations over the 
about 30 years that it was in existence.

I hear rumors that the site, on top of the granite mountain has been 
abandoned and a Shaw or other wealth individual has since built a 
large estate on that site ?

I would be willing to give you some of my recollections of the 
topography and old area introspectives, unless you can find others 
who have more recently visited there.  I has last there in the early 
'80s, but even then it had quite a bit of tourist trade, especially 
from mid EU.
