Offering to the serious 6m DX'er, a recently completed and dedicated full output 6m amplifier built around the Ameritron AL1200 and the Eimac 3CX1200A7 tube developing 1800w output with 100w of drive. Since the tube is built to industrial tolerances and designed for commercial application,it is well suited for the narrow window openings of 6m contesting. More importantly it enjoys the(no wait)instant on feature, high power amplification factor, indestructible grids, and operates trouble free under stressful conditions. The amplifier is selector switch equipped for 3.6kv or 4.0kv plate voltage. The tank circuit is broad banded and excursions chasing DX requires little or no retuning. On key down, the blower is simultaneously placed in high. An extender board has been fitted to accommodate higher breakdown voltage. If necessary,the tuned input can be accessed with a rear panel capacitor control. Operates on 220VAC. $2350 prefer pickup in the Scranton PA or New York City areas.
