[50mhz] TX5K on 6m - February 12 UPDATE

Hello!

This will probably be my final email update, since I leave next Monday, February 18.
I am really encouraged by the number of stations who have been expanding their 6m
stations and getting on JT65A to have a go at me via EME! Of course, the bigger
antennas and amplifiers will be very helpful on any ionospheric modes too, if we get
some of that propagation. I will be looking for propagation of any kind and making
noise on 6m from down there!

QSL routes, pilots and other general information is shown on the main DXpedition page:

http://www.tx5k.org

Please refer to my 6m page for 6m frequencies and links on procedure to be used to
contact me on 6m EME, along with my tentative 6m operating plan:

http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/TX5K.htm

As explained on my web page above, there is a possibility that I may be able to send
out updates from time to time on the ON4KST REGION 2 and ON4KST EME pages using
telnet. Otherwise, the best way to get feedback to me is via one of the HF pilot
stations, and I will be in touch with the HF bases via a 2m HT.

If I cannot connect to the chat pages, the best way to know my status will probably
be to watch the DX Cluster or those chat pages for reports of others copying me.
PLEASE use the ON4KST EME chat page to coordinate with other callers so you are all
SPREAD OUT with 200 Hz between JT65A callers!

I may use 50.190 from time to time to run a terrestrial JT65A beacon, if it appears
that the extra 10-15 dB will be necessary to make contacts (currently it sure seems
that F2 is not working for people on 6m). Otherwise, I will plan to call on either
CW or SSB on 50.117 (to allow some room for callers to be calling UP, if there is a
pileup problem). Regardless what mode I am on, please call me with whatever you
have! I will try to switch over to CW or SSB and complete with you, but please be
satisfied with one contact and don't cause a pileup to work me in a second or third
mode! No dupes please ;-)

GL to everyone and again, MNI MNI TNX for your support! I will sure be working hard
to contact as many of you as possible! TNX again and VY 73, Lance
