[50mhz] A question for 52.525 FMers ONLY...

Andy, my favorite rig for 6 FM was an RCA 1000 series mobile. I had the
advantage of knowing and later working for an RCA manufacturer's
representative from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s and we were just 3
miles from their manufacturing plant in Meadow Lands, PA.
Six FM was a lot of fun! At this time all of my activity on the band is
SSB or CW, but I might have to put up a vertical at home to use on FM
with my IC-7700. I think the lack of reasonably priced used equipment,
plus the misconception that there is nobody to work, has kept people
from trying 6 FM. Right now the 927 MHz FM band is going though quite a
bit of growth that is driven by the availability of late model used
Motorola, Kenwood and other commercial equipment at very inexpensive
prices.
