All that happened is that the technology kept up with the hobby, and 
provided fantastic tools to make everything more efficient.
Actually, this has been evolving for almost 20 years now.
How is it "cheating" to use the technology available? Would you enter an 
auto race full of Ferrari's driving your old 57 Chevy and claim/*they*/ 
were all cheating?
I'm a ham for 55 years and I contest, and I use every technological 
advantage I can; and if you compete with me and do not use it.......I 
WIN-YOU LOSE.
You use FM exclusively?  Wow, you're right on the cutting edge huh?

I suppose that's the beauty of this hobby that I love so dearly. 
Everyone is entitled to their own ridiculous opinion.
