How about a loop? The M2 6m loop has gain in all directions. I would
mount a loop horizontally.

  I have a stacked pair of KU4AB loops @ about 25ft, a home brew 5/8 over
5/8 AA6DD vertcal ,and a homebrew 5 el yagi. The vertical was made to work
6m repeaters in SoCal but it loads fine in the SSB and AM part of 6. The
loop stack is usually used for listening on a 736R but it can be switched to
a 100W rig. I took the loops out to alt-qth in Borrego Springs DM13tf and
worked the East Coast with an FT857D when conitions were right.
Two delta loops on PVC spreaders and a fiberglass mast are my travel
antennas. Those are #12 insulated stranded wire with an RG59 matching
section. I built the loops to have a roll up antennas I could store in my
Kayak but also use them with a trailer hitch tip-up mount. That puts the
delta loop at 25-27 feet and I hand rotate the mast. Work related travel and
other things have kept me off the air for a while so I'm just getting back.
