[50mhz] Noise

Ive been using a CATV leak detector for decades. As the cable systems top
frequencies expand the old testers are obsolete. Mine was $20 at a hamfest,
covers up to 400 MHZ, speaker, meter, batteries or AC, and a connector for
an external antenna.
Here is where a small LP antenna comes in handy, as you get closer to the
leak tune the detector higher in frequency. With very little experience it
will walk you right to the offender. Some of the stranger ones Ive found are
thermostat controlled copper pipe freeze tape, touch lamps, automatic pool
filter timers.
