A few years ago, one ham club in East Texas operated from a caboose on the
Texas State Railroad steam train (Was moving, used batteries & generator
that charges the batteries off one of the axles.

Don't have photo's, but logs revealed quite a few Q's from the moving train
which runs 25 miles between Rusk & Palestine, Texas.

Don't believe the group has done it in recent years, the train is run by a
consession company that also runs the Durango & Silverton Scenic and Tolec &
Cumbres Scenic rr's..
