[50mhz] Low Pass TVI Filters FS

Understand.just wanted others to know ;)
Of course, with MOST stations now off 2-6 (though there are a handful per
channel nationwide; more than 75% than when analog!), the RF noise level to
US is much lower now..And the DTVs still left are RF2 are running much lower
ERP than the analogs were (~3KW vs 100KW).and the old VSB analog filters
only meant -80dbC across 6m.DTV mask filters are much sharper in cut off
and NO VSB/LSB splattering into 6m.In Houston, 6m noise floor dropped at
least 20db if not more depending on location after KPRC2 moved to UHF35.of
course power line noise, etc is still there.and Houston's electrical
distribution company, CenterPoint Energy, is notorious as to not tending to
RFI issues with hams..thus causing the FCC to get involved (At least CNP
finally decided the BPL wasn't feasible.but it took the FAA, American Red
Cross and Emergency Management to get involved...and the BPL was running
above legal limits just so it would work!! GEESH)
And with us causing TVI, with DTV there is no interference.there is NO
decoding period so no one can point to us like they used to :-) (What TVI??
Naw!!)
DTV did make things nicer for us 6m wise!

Hi Chris,
Obviously, a lot has changed with the digital TVs.
What I listed was simply a quote from Drake. Obviously, they have not
updated their statement!
Thanks.
