Yes, and while you are at it, change the gamma match to be one made of a
coax cable core inside of an aluminum tube as is done with the Directive
Systems 50-4 yagi.  I found that the ceramic cap embedded in the feed is
lossy.

Gang,

Being a cheap SOB, I'd take that Cuscraft 5 element, clean it up real good,
and get the tubing to make the boom as long as a 6M5X. You could 
Use the M2 spacings and save a bunch of money to give the XYL for a "mad
money" shopping trip. 

Getting a better antenna at low cost AND pleasing the wife isn't a bad
proposition at all.
