[50mhz] [FWD: RE: Yagis]

Everyone's miles may vary. I just recently placed an order in the last
couple of weeks and my antennas arrived today (ordered a 144, 222, and
432). When I placed the order I told David that I was in no rush, but
needed them in time to build for the September contest. I got home this
evening and there they were waiting for me.

I placed the order after hours on August 6th, and I got them today.
That is basically 10 business days in my book. So I am very pleased.

I recently heard Dave has been very slow delivering ham antennas,
military
orders are his priority. Not trying to dissuade anyone (I use, like and
recommend his antennas too), just passing on what I have head for
others. If
I were to order one from Dave right now, I would make sure he gave me
an
acceptable shipping date before I finalized the deal.

 Mark,

I definitely would consider Directive Systems in your decision process.

David is great to work with. On the VHF reflector when someone recently
asked about spacing suggestions, it was pretty much unanimous pointing
the person to the Directive Systems where David has some really good
information. Speaking to him, you quickly can tell that he has a
 passion for antennas.

 73 and good luck!

 OK I'm having mind fart.

I've used Cushcraft's 5 element yagi for years with good results. I
have now moved to AZ and will be putting up a 35' tower. My CCraft 5
el is getting old so time to eihter replace it with a new one, or buy
 something else.

Trouble is I cannot remember all the yagis that are recommended. I
know M2 builds a good one. Who else should I consider?

 Tnx,
 Mark
