[50mhz] [VHFcontesting] Balun on 6m yagi

The 6M cushcraft antenna has a gama match feed which by itself is a 50 ohm  
match for your
coax,   If you put a small coil aprox 6" in diameter with   abut 4 or 5 
turns in it, it act as a choke to prevent
RF coming back down the coax shield into the shack.   You do this  trick in 
most any HF or low freq 
VHF antenna virtually no degradation in ant or tx power out.
 
Remember to everything tightly coiled and well taped.  Any questons  ask 
off the reflector
