Yeah, he couldn't cut the threads in it. Too thin for snap ring
closures and too thin to cut threads that would hold up to the pressure.

Just finished measuring the SWR using an MFJ-259B. 1.1:1 from 50.090
MHz. to 50.200 MHz. Better than 2:1 all the way up to 51.00 MHz. I'm a
happy camper, as my rig's auto-tuner will tune anywhere else in the band
I might wish to work. Put a six-turn air-choke balun near the feed
point to keep stray currents off the coax shield and out of the
rotator. (Prior experience with the A50-5S taught me that one.) When
it goes up, it will be at the top of a 50 ft. tower with a 15ft. mast
about 120 ft. from the house with LDF5-50 (7/8" Heliax) from the top of
the tower all the way to the grounding panel, with LMR-400 to take it
the last 15ft. into the shack.

Temporary installation is about 20 ft. up on two sections of Rohn 25G
attached to the house.
