Dan, NICE catch!!! I see that there is another Cycle #24 sunspot coming
into view. Hope springs eternal!!!
I had good 'ole Murphy around this weekend...
First, it was the GF and my, 3 rd anniversary. Nothing else needs to be
said, BUT she is VERY understanding! Gud thing!
Second, a friend of ours (a professional 'tower dog'), came over and
helped me put the 6M and 2M beams on Tower #1. We also ran the 7/8"
hardline but it's still not connected. No rotor yet, up 'there'....
He's 125 #, I'm 225#. ARRRRG! Plus, the heat kicked BOTH of our
butts!!!!
Third, before the contest, I heard stations from ALL over the US
testing. It was a great combination of Es and Scatter.
Fourth, for reasons only Murphy would understand, my beloved TR-6 went
FUBAR when I turned it on. !!!
I was using my dipole at 45'. There are a bunch of radios here for 6M,
but I LOVE my TR-6. Or, at least I USED to!!!
ha ha
Nice to see the band open.
We will be running high ant and high power (someday), from EM80. I have
only heard one other active ham from this Grid. Clayton. W4KVW. I
haven't worked him in a few years. Divorce/moving/yada, yada......ha ha,
I didn't hear him in my VERY limited listening time. He may have had to
work. GROSS!!!
cu on 6!

Nice opening into Japan from Florida last nite. Worked JL8GFB and heard
BMJ
weak.
11,031.5 km according to QRZ.com Google map
And all with my pipsqueak 4 el antenna at 30 ft and 400 watts, and the
audio
gain wide open, DSP at 120 Hz contour. My ears were burning after that
QSO !!!
