Howard,
I second the statement below by Roger, K4RW. I have been using N3JFP's
logging software for many years. I, on the other hand, create a separate
contest log, i.e. SMIRK2009, and then use that log during the contests to
check for dupes. When I am done with the contest I use the info from the log
program to create my log sheets to submit and then I export all the QSO's
into my main log book. That would not work for a multiband contest unless
you created separate logs for each band, however, you could still check for
dupes and it would show you what band(s) you have worked the station on and
the mode. N3FJP's log is very flexible by moving and add/remove fields. For
me, it is the best bang for the buck.
