Its pretty hard to dispute anything designed by K1FO.

Using 4 el on a 12' boom goes all the way back To Ed Tiltons classic design 
of the early 50's which is the antenna I built around 1958.

My own modification of the CC A50-5S as 4 elements on 12' came up with 8.1 
dbd gain and 26 db full F/R in following with my stress on the F/R..
