John,

I appreciate your thoughts.perhaps if I could get a legal limit 2m amp set
up as easily I might trade, but honestly, I read on eham that there were
only 11 made.

Mine has a serial number of "G 112002", so this is an intriguing machine if
that is true! :-)

As for ease of use, well it seems that it has a sweetie with a single
control lead (needs to be buffered for modern rigs, I'm sure!) and interna
T/R switching. This amplifier needs a 100W of drive to get 2000W PEP. This
is pretty much what you would expect from a dual 3-500Z amplifier, but
easier because of the T/R circuitry.

I'll need to open it up and clean out the dust, and then perhaps find
someone with some knowledge on how to bring up such amplifiers after a
period of years of disuse. The really neat thing is that it allows for
relatively easy access to high power work on 50 MHz.

Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT

Yes, I have thoughts. You might not agree/like the thoughts, though.
They mostly involve sending the unit to me for the cost of shipping. [grin]
