Well, it's that time of year again... Time to see who's been nice
and who's been naughty! Only three on the 6-meter naughty list
this year, which is pretty good -- but they're all VEs! Or rather,
all three were operating from VE-land, including one USA dude.
Anyway, the "winners" are --
(1) VE6BOD Karl, DO22, worked 23 May. I was in touch with Karl by
email for a while, and he promised to get me a card shortly. But
that never happened, and my last two emails to Karl have gone
unanswered. Anybody know Karl? Is he OK? How to get that
extra-rare DO22 QSL?
(2) VE3/KC8QVO Steve, EN39, worked 15 June during the June VHF
contest. Steve operated from his parents' cabin during June. He
says on his rather extensive QRZ page: "UPDATE 9/19/08: I have all
of my cards made up for everyone who sent me an SASE and will have
them in the mail tomorrow 9/20/08. I appologise for the delay. I
have extras so if you would still like a card please send me an
SASE and I will get one out to you. If my batch runs out I'll
print more!" Never got one. I've sent Steve numerous unbounced
emails, no response. I sent him a second QSL, SASE, and reverse
QSL in October. No response. I looked him up in the contest page
at ARRL, and it seems he didn't submit a log for the contest. Has
anybody gotten a QSL from Steve for this rare-grid contest
expedition?
(3) VE7LGF Glen, CO90, worked 7 July. Follow-up unbounced emails
have gone unanswered. Have not yet sent him a second card/SASE.
Anybody know Glen up there in the PNW?
Thanks for any possible help --
