Hello all,
Finally worked KB0HH in EM07 this weekend, so I'm now down to just two contiguous grid squares -- EM87 and EM97 -- to complete all 100 EM grid squares on 6m and qualify for the Worked All of 'EM award on that band. Only eight other amateurs have earned this award on 6 meters, and I would really like to be #9! These two grids appear to be tough ones, though, as there would seem to be little resident 6m activity in either of them. And I've yet to hear of them getting activated during a summer contest. (Maybe they have been, but I've never heard or read about it.)
So I'm appealing to y'all for information on any EM87/97 resident hams who are or could become 6m-active; any non-resident hams who might have summer homes/stations in EM87/97; and any plans for activating EM87/97 during one of the summer VHF contests.
I'm so close -- really want to finish it up this summer!
73,
Bill W5WVO
