Hello Peg,
By affordable I meant an amplifier in the 500 -1000 watt range that is under $500.
I see them from time to time, and I know many other stations have old spare
amplifiers (or even standby amplifiers for their spare amplifiers) that fit into
this category.
Although a lot of fun can certainly be had by occasional operators with QRP and
small antennas on 6m from favorable locations when the band is open, so much more
is possible with some power and a good yagi. That is why I have received these
requests, and I want to try to help some of these serious 6m DX stations find
amplifiers.
