Gee, none of these attitudes could possibly be fueled by all of the anti-contest retoric we see on eham.net and in some emails, where contesters are the cause of all evil?  We also seem to get some of the same retoric about paper chasers, and how we are not supposed to have 59 grid square QSOs but only have meaningful QSOs where we talk at end's length about our personal lives.  

Funny, I can't remember anything in Part 97 about the type of QSOs to have.  Must not have looked hard enough.
