I'd go the SDR-1000 and transverter route and skip the other
choices. The SDR-1000 has an excellent panadapter (the best
there is in ham radio in fact), 2 RX's (with potential for
even more). Excellent close-in 2 KHz IMD DR. Point and click
tuning. There's nothing like seeing a signal on the pandapter
on the band and then just clicking on it and being instantly
there. Once you used that method to tune you'll find tuning
around the band with a tuning knob to be down right clunky.
