[50mhz] S.B.E . Opti/Scan receiver

I'm looking for any info on an Side Band Engerning scanning Monitor Receiver Model SBE 12SM. One of the machine tool shop instructor at the techinical hight school that I teach at found out I was a ham. He told me he had a few things his uncle had  back in his CB radios days that he wanted to  pass on to me. 
This scaner is like the one's that you use to see at your local garage  with the blinking/flashing  red led's. What make this one unique is that it has a card that sildes in the front about 1 1/2 times the lenght of a credit card. 

These are clear block sq's that programe the freq of the scaner, in other words the sq's are clear and on the are stick on sq's that block the clear part on the card. It has 10 ch's. Any one ever have one of these or see one. I'm looking to find out how to program it.
