Congratulations! Yep, when the band is open, single hop Es on 6m can be
REALLY strong! And from where you are located, EN10 is single hop to
EVERYWHERE in the lower 48! You lucky fella...I always keep my antenna
tied down so it is aimed at EN10 because that is the first hop toward
the Caribbean ;-)

When the Es is over, though, don't give up on the Magic Band. There are
lots of random meteors out there, and from your location, you will be
collecting grids all year long on random meteors! Take a look at how
active the 6m Europeans are on JT6M mode (one of the weak signal modes
in the WSJT package of programs):
http://www.on4kst.info/chat/login.php?band=1 Of course, when you get
active on JT6M mode, you will be able to operate JT65A mode :-) With
that, the sky is the limit - with a good yagi and some flat clear
terrain around your antenna, you will be copying EME signals from the
other side of the world :-)

GL and VY 73, Lance
