I usually find the activity a little higher up the band than 50.125 
when the band comes in in Houston, Tx. (EL29)

I operate mobile when on 6 meters as my apartment owner doesn't 
permit exterior antennas, so my activity is limited to when I hear 6 
meters breaking on my receiver..
