On board Mr. Jose Valdez, YV5LIX, VHFer prepared for Transequatorial
QSOs from Aves Is. in 144 MHz! By the way, I´m replying also this
message for other lists and friends (sorry the english language) for
remember about this very interesting TEP experience. I belive it could
be also a good source for Caribbean/South USA stations considering the 
latest Tropos over that region. The VHF frequencies are:

50,110 MHz (CW/SSB)
144,200 MHz (CW/SSB)
146,520 MHz (FM)

Thanks for your comments.

Yes, you are right, TEP season is going down, and TEP may nor be
available; from my QTH 144 TEP has been in January to March October
December, but we never know, for years I argued that TEP does not only
occurs at solar max, and this year PY-Caribbean as well as my last year
YV to LU proved the contrary, TEP is also possible at solar minimums, so
let us keep our hopes high an at least try, 144.200 is a good frequency
because PY stations are always listening there, I hope some LU can read
this mail so they can move from 144.300 to 144.200 while we are at the
island; 6 meter is another story, I have had many 6 meters TEP QSO with
PY, ZP, CX and LU in April, so that may be a good indication, if 6
meters is open with strong TEP signal we should try 2 meters also.

I most probably will not be on 6 and 2 meters, but I will make sure some
one is there between 23:00-00.00 and 00:00-02:00 UTC.

Le informo que tenemos prevista la salida a Isla de Aves para el día 17 
o 18, y me gustaría mucho que desde el día de hoy y hasta el día domingo 
si alguno de ustedes logra escuchar el Caribe en 6 metros o dos metros 
lo reporte por acá en la lista, como saben YX0A estará a la escucha en 
50.110 y 144.200 para PY, CX, ZP y LU, por lo que es interesante saber 
si en estos últimos días se produce alguna TEP en 50 MHz o 144 MHz.

Does anyone know if the Aves DXpedition will be operating on 6 meters?
Should be getting close to Es season when they get there.  That would be
a nice catch on 6!
