GM Ed,
According to the Icom IC-7000 Yahoo Group, the NB is very  effective.  I do 
not have one but have been conidering a new rig so signed  up for it and the 
480 group too.

I had a Kenwood TS 480  mobile in the Mustang the the noise blanker in the 
Kenwood out preformed the  706 MKIIG by at least 1 S unit to 2.
