Not sure who is saying 6M DX is as limited as you quoted, but as you have
already seen yourself from Johnson 6M DX has real.

Today alone I worked HI3TEJ and VP5KE, not real far DX but other countries
at least. So far on 6 I have 87 countries, WAS, WAC, and 475 grids. Since
July I picked up 4 new countries. Limited only due to the limited amount of
time I have to operate due to work and other commitments.

A 5 element 18' boom at 30-40' will work plenty of DX. I have a stack pair
of 5's at 38 and 51'. And although many will argue about this; feedline does
make a big difference on 6, even with realtively short runs. I use 1/2"
heliax and with my new tower install will go most likely to 7/8". I also run
a GaSFET pre-amp which works well with my 756Pro.

I also work 6M EME with this setup, I guess that counts as DX!

Freqs:
50.000-50.100 CW
	50.060-50.080 Beacons
50.100-50.125 DX Window (no Domestic contacts)
	50.110 DX Calling Freq
50.125-50.400+ Really all modes but see below
	50.125 6M Calling Freq
	50.200 Alt 6M Calling Freq

50.260-50.290 digital Modes
50.300 FM sometimes
50.400 AM Freq (A fair bit of AM activity on 6)

My knowledge about 6 MTRS is very limited about all I know
is what I have heard or been told which is summarized in
that - you can pretty much expect contacts with NA
stations only and that DX is considered from Texas to
Montana, Canada, RI, ect or something like that. Other
than that I really don't know much about what antennas are
the best or any thing like that.
