[50mhz] QSO's and Band Openings - Food for thought

The guy giving out EL96 was not obligated to start some long winded QSO
He was giving out the grid to as many people that need it in as short of
time as possible, be thankful. If you didn't want to work him, find some one
else that will talk to you. Personally, I am not interested in some long
drawn out brag file. Biggest offenders of this practice is the PSK group. Oh
well, to each his own.
BTW, I picked up four new grids yesterday just by calling CQ. Yes, I
gave my name and QTH with a short QSO.
Sure wish these new operators would learn the Q codes. Had a KC4XXX who
didn't know what QSY meant. He was determined to start calling on top of me.
Sounded like a 10-4 good buddy. Looks like a bunch of those people are
migrating to 6 meters and bringing their bad habits.

I agree completely, an opening on 6 does not constitute a contest.
I'm looking for interesting contacts, not just a signal report and
grid sq. even though these are interesting too, it's NOT a contest.
