Mike,

I have an IC-502 too. I don't use it much, it's more a part of my
6 meter radio collection than a daily used rig.
I don't know where to get a replacement antenna, but, I can measure
the exact length of mine so you know what you are looking for.
It's probably not real critical. Anything close to a quarter
wave would work. I attached a piece of thin flexible wire to the case
and let it hang down to act as a counterpoise for the radiator.
This made a big difference in the performance of the 502. (Tx and Rx)

If I come across a source for that size antenna, I'll let you know.

Good luck.

BTW Some model radio controls use 6 meters, Futaba is one brand.
You may find spares at a hobby shop.

Subject: [50mhz] IC-502 6 Meter Portable

Hi Gang,

I have an Icom IC-502 6 Meter SSB Portable rig and I need to
replace the built-in telescoping antenna. Any ideas on where
I might find a replacement? I will try, but I doubt Icom has any
parts still available for it.

Thanks,

Mike
