For sale - an original 6M Hilltopper portable antenna made by Hi-Par
(W1NEV), mdl 6MHT. This is a lightweight, widespaced 3-element portable
beam, with a 2-section 78" boom and preadjusted gamma match (52 ohms). It
collapses to a 43" long, 4 lb package.

Published specs indicate a design center of 50.3 mc, F/B ratio of 25 db
and a forward gain of 8.5 db. It works well and is as good as any 3L yagi
I've used. It's clean & not weathered.

For the more youthful 6m ops, it was used like so... once you'd found
your spot, you shoved a screwdriver into the ground next to the
driver-side door. You then slipped one end of a mast - made up of several
"wands" from an Electrolux vacuum cleaner - over the handle of the
screwdriver and clamped or tied the mast to the car door handle (alas,
few cars outside of the presidential limousine have door handles today).
The antenna was unfolded and clamped to the mast and you were on the air.
