K7DAE/R - On the road from DM09ol @ 0800 PDST

Jack AE7DX and his son Jonathan have Just left DM09ol in my ROVER vehicle To 
Start The Contest In DM17. (0800 PDST) They will be using Jonathans new call 
as K7DAE / ROVER.


They have single loops on 6, & 222, a stacked pair of loops on 2, and a egg 
beater on 432. They have yagis on 2, 222, and 432. All while in motion, ZERO 
SETUP TIME when they arrive at a new site, Just aim the truck and GO!

Station is as follows:

 50 Mhz - FT-857D, 100W, KB6KQ Loop
144 Mhz - FT857D, 170W Brick, Pair of KQ Loops and 7 ele Yagi
222 Mhz - HR2510 IF, DEM Xvtr, 120W Brick, Single KQ Loop and 9 ele Yagi
432 Mhz - FT857D, 110W Brick, M2 Eggbeater and 11 ele Yagi

They will be CQing the calling channels and then moving to run stations.
run frequencies are as follows (+/- QRM):
50.140, 144.180, 222.080, & 432.080

The route is as follows:
DM17, DM07, DM08, DM18, DM27, DM28, DM29, DN20, DN30, DN21, DN10, DN11, 
DN00, DM09, and DM19.

Saturday: They start at the DM07 / DM17 / DM08 / DM18 grid corner on Hwy 6 
West near Coaldale Juntion on Hwy 95 South. They Run DM17, DM07, DM08, and 
then traverse DM18 to Booker Mtn in DM18 where thay spent an hr or so atop 
the hill.

After gas and food in Tonopah NV - DM18, they head east on Hwy 6 to warm 
springs where they change to the ET Hwy US375 South where they cross into 
DM17 again on there way to DM27. Here they just cross the line and drift up 
the side of Queen City Summit.

Back North on 375 to Warm springs and back on Hwy 6 East to Railroad Valley 
and Current Summit in DM28 before getting to Ely NV in DM29. There they work 
their way up 10,700' Cave Mtn in DM29 where they end Saturday before coming 
down the mtn to Ely for the night.

Sunday: The head north out of Ely for Wendover NV and East on Hwy 80 to just 
cross into DN30. Once done there they will now turn West make their way  to 
Pequop Summit in DN21. Back to Hwy 80 West they make their way into Elko NV 
for gas and food. The north on Hwy 225 to Adobe Summit in DN20. Once they 
are done there they head west on Hwy 80 to Golconda Summit in DN10, then to 
Winnemucca for Gas and food before assending Winnemucca Mtn in DN11. After a 
few hrs there they will depart for the Toulone exit and make their way up to 
Ragged Top Summit in DN00. Once done there they will be headed into DM09 and 
back to Fallon NV. If there is time left in the contest they will then head 
East once more on Hwy 50 to Austin Summit in DM19 where they will finished 
the contest Sunday evening.

All told, when done they will have traversed 15 grids, travelled 946 miles, 
in approx 20 1/2 Hrs.

This should make alot of folks happy on 222 where these grids are extremely 
rare...
