Gary (K8KFJ)... I really don't know how long they'll be on; I'm guessing
an hour at least and it will probably involve some old recordings and
lots of chatter. I'm hoping we'll get some of the summertime Es the FCC
was concerned about when they moved the FM BC band up the spectrum (and
got rid of TV channel 1).

Chris (WB5ITT)... No, I didn't get the date wrong; this is another
transmission from the site alone (there will be no simulcast or webcast
this time.) And no, not all two-area 2x3 calls with X as the suffix
initial letter are reserved for special use; as a worker for the W2
incoming QSL bureau, I can attest to that. Look up KB2XYL, for example.
Additionally, these special licenses today are essentially temporary, not
necessarily experimental.

The point is that, at the time W2XMN & EA were issued, no callsign with
an initial X in the suffix was issued to a ham. I mentioned it because
some might think W2XEA was Edwin Armstrongs callsign. It is his initials
but it wasn't "his" call nor was he ever a ham.

Today W2XEA belongs to a Maj. Armstrong memorial assn in FL, a ham call!
