I would stick with the Pars, My Par withstood over 130 mile winds at times
during Hurricane Geogres (Puerto Rico) at 300 feet above the Ground.

my 2 cents

Subject: [50mhz] KU4AB HV antennas

I see KU4AB has come out with a horiz. loop antenna with a vertical whip
attached for multi mode operation.
Has anyone tried this model? I am curious as to how he has the vertical whip
interconnected? IS it cut for the FM section and the coax feeds both and let
the SWR fall where they may or ????

I have two PAR OA50s I am looking at putting up at my remote base ....but
after seeing the "limber" construction (and no thanks to Rita, I may have
lost one of the matching boxes!), I am not sure I want to put a PAR up at
100+ ft on my rmt base site tower..The AB antennas look stronger in
construction...and this new cross mode version may save me from putting up
another antenna for 6m FM as well.
