[50mhz] Rig vs Rig question

Hey John,

I would go with the Yaesu radio without even knowing anything about it other
than the brand. Reason being, I have heard quite a few Rangers on the air,
and IMHO they all sound crappy. Maybe it's just the way they're adjusted,
but the audio always sounds to me like it's overcompressed. And you should
take a look at the receiver performance specs. I haven't, but I've heard
that the Ranger receiver leaves a great deal to be desired compared to the
typical IKenSu 6M receiver.

(And that's not even mentioning the fact that the Ranger radio has an
optional ROGER BEEP. Ecchh!  :-p  )
