[50mhz] tonights band opening from EL09

saw a posting on one of the lists that the bansd was open just before 
midnight z. Managed to snag K4CMC in EL89 for a new state and grid as 
well as K9MU in WI  en44 for another new grid. Also heard KS EM18 EN83 
from an unknown station 100 miles N of Detroit. Todays 2 contacts were 
made outside fighting off the misqetos and using the FT-817 on its 
batteries so was running 2.5 watts.
