Hi Dave,
   If you do decide to send/receive QSL cards, you might want to look into 
eQSL at:
   http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/Index.cfm

  I worked Mexico a couple of years ago, and even though I sent 3 cards to 
my contact,
  I have yet to receive one from him via the Postal Service. But after 
sending him a 'card' via eQSL, I got one back in a day or two! If you cut 
them out and put them in a card hanger, you really can't tell the difference 
versus printed cards.
