One way to do it (not cheap but effective)....get the back to back 
mobile dipole mount from Hamstick (allows you to put two whips back to 
back as a dipole at home)....then get two CB whips from R/S....screw 
them in, cut them for 56 inches each side, bend them into a V as they 
lie ON the ground looking down on it (this just means bend them 
45degress back in the same direction/horiz plane), then mount in the 
air 
with the elements still in horiz plane and try it out!

There are places that actually sell these.  I though BuxComm was but didn't see them there.  Anyway shop around.
