I'm sorry to say the Mizuho MX-6S (a/k/a the AEA DX Handy MX-6S) was
never marketed under the Santec name. Rather, it was recently marketed
under the JIM (Japan Information Medium) name brand, which is what all
recent Santec made rigs are called. The JIM MX-6S was manufactured
through 2002 and is quite common in Japan. It can still be found new.
You probably should contact Rodney Tom, KH7L, in Tokyo. He can likely
find one for you, used or new, on the Japanese market, with the JIM
name. He can be reached at [email protected] Rod is honest and prompt and
doesn't make money on the Mizuho gear he helps American hams import.
