FCC(???) does NOT require anything for a "good" contact. The FCC
only requires you follow Part 97...and all that requires is you give
your call once every 10 minutes and at the end of the communication..

in contests, other info is required by the SPONSOR...
If anything else is required for a legit QSO, it is the 
group that issues the award, etc (ARRL or CQ, etc) that requires
the extra info...but for you and I to make a LEGAL QSO only
requires I give my call, you give yours and we ack the other station
nothing more :)
