Ron,
I have the 6M7 not the JKV model but they are very similar. I did not buy
the JKV because it looked to flimsy for the Wx we get here on the coast. I
set the match per the instructions, with the antenna at 15' and it stayed
flat at it's final home at 50'. I have heard several stories of the JKV
being flat near the ground and then changing when it is up. Perhaps that is
what happened to you. I tuned mine to be flat at 50.100 and it looks great
from 50.000 to 50.300 after that the SWR starts to climb.
